Kicking off 2021, we take a deep dive into marketing for artists with my good friends Jonathan McNary and Jonathan Moore, from the McGrath Project, and Fiction Theory. The two Jonathans talk about their background in this subject, how it has impacted their efforts with various musical projects, and what they have learned in the process. Along the way we look at a couple of examples of boosting social media posts, when to pay for advertising and when not to, and also some alternative strategies that don’t cost money, but may be a lot more effective.
